8288 - SPREAD SPECTRUM RADIO FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) The locations for installation of Spread Spectrum Radio shall be as shown on the plans.
2) Radio antenna shall consist of furnishing spread spectrum radio antennas, drop cable, connectors 
    and mounting hardware. This shall include all materials, labor and procedures required to completely 
    install in place as shown on the plans.
3) Cable shall consist of furnishing and installing the cable for the feedline that connects the Spread
    Spectrum Radio to the Antennas, complete in place as shown on the plans.

8524 - PEDESTAL POLE ASSEMBLIES

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) The locations for Pedestal Pole Assemblies shall be as shown on the plans.
2) All Pedestal Pole Assemblies shall conform to the detailed drawings and requirements shown 
    on the plans as to height, general design and finish. All materials and construction methods, including 
    shop drawings, shall be in accordance with the pertinent provisions of Special Specification "Roadside 
    Flashing Beacon Assemblies", except as modified herein.

OPTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1) When galvanizing is required, it shall be in accordance with Item 445.
2) When painting is required, it shall be in accordance with Item 446.

8964 - TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY (TS-2)

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) The locations for Traffic Signal Controller Assembly will be shown on the plans.

8969 - SOLAR-POWERED (PHOTOVOLTAIC) FLASHER ASSEMBLY

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 
1) The locations and configurations of a solar/battery powered flasher assembly shall be as 
shown on the plans. 
2) Show have batteries are to be installed, either in a battery vault or cabinet. 
3) Show control cabinet's pole mountings. 
4) Show 12 in. LED signal beacon(s). Color of the indication(s) shall be specified on the plans. 
5) Assemblies shall be fabricated, assembled and installed in accordance with the details and dimensions 
shown on the plans. 
6) New conduit will be paid for under Item 618, “Conduit.” New electrical conductors will be paid for 
under Item 620, “Electrical Conductors.” New ground boxes will be paid for under Item 624, “Ground 
Boxes.” New foundations will be paid for under Item 656, “Foundations for Signs, Traffic Signals and 
Roadway Illumination Assemblies.” New traffic signal housings will be paid for under Item 682, “Vehicle 
and Pedestrian Signal Heads.” New LED lenses will be paid for under Special Specification, “12 Inch LED 
Traffic Signal Lamp Unit.” New roadside flashing beacon assemblies will be paid for under Special 
Specification, “Roadside Flashing Beacon Assemblies.”

8975 - REFLECTORIZED PAVEMENT MARKINGS WITH RETROREFLECTIVE REQUIREMENTS

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 
1) The locations for reflectorized pavement markings of the types, colors, shapes, sizes, widths, 
    and thickness shall be as shown on the plans. 
2) Pavement Sealer type shall be as shown on the plans. 
3) The Contractor shall perform all retroreflectivity measurements and traffic control when readings are taken. 
4) This is a plans quantity measurement Item.
