610 - ROADWAY ILLUMINATION ASSEMBLIES

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) Locations and types of roadway illumination assemblies must be shown on the plans.
2) Foundations for roadway illumination assemblies will be constructed to the details shown on 
    the plans and will be paid for under Item 656.
3) The following Statewide Standard Details Sheets are required for the fabrication and installation of
    roadway illumination assemblies:

612 - RELOCATING ROADWAY ILLUMINATION ASSEMBLIES

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) Locations and types of roadway illumination assemblies to be relocated must be shown
    on the plans.
2) The roadway illumination assemblies will be reinstalled at locations shown on the plans.
3) The new foundations for the relocated roadway illumination assemblies will be constructed
    to the details shown on the plans and will be paid for under Item 656.
4) The following Statewide Standard Details Sheets are required for the details for the installation
    of relocating roadway illumination assemblies:

613 - HIGH MAST ILLUMINATION POLES

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) The locations, design wind speed and heights of the high mast illumination poles must be
    shown on the plans.
2) Foundations for the high mast illumination poles will be constructed to the details shown
    on the plans and will be paid for under Item 416.
3) All pole shaft sections will be match-marked as shown on the plans.
4) If desired, details for riprap around pole foundations will be shown on the plans.
5) For optional pole designs, the top pole diameter and the top attachment plate will be as
    shown on the plans and the bottom of the pole will be compatible with the foundation
    details shown on plans.
6) The following Statewide Standard Details Sheets are required for the fabrication and
    installation of high mast illumination poles:

• HMIP(1)-98(M)    High Mast Illumination Poles
      and HMIP(2)-98(M)
• HMIF(1)-98(M)    High Mast Illumination Pole Foundations

614 - HIGH MAST ILLUMINATION ASSEMBLIES

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) Locations and types of high mast illumination assemblies must be shown on the plans.
2) The airway-highway clearance must be approved by the FAA if located near an airport and the
    high mast illumination assemblies protrude into the navigable air space.  This should be handled
    in the early stages of plan development.
3) The following Statewide Standard Details Sheets are required for the fabrication and installation
    of high mast illumination assemblies:

• HMID(1-10)-96(M)   High Mast Illumination Details (10 sheets)

616 - PERFORMANCE TESTING OF LIGHTING SYSTEMS

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) Performance testing is required for roadway lighting fixtures, high mast lighting fixtures,
    and sign lighting fixtures.

618 - CONDUIT

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) Types, sizes and length of conduits must be shown on the plans.
2) The locations for the placement of conduits will be shown on the plans or as approved by the Engineer.

4) The following Statewide Standard Details Sheets are required for the placement of conduit:

    shown on the plans.
3) Any materials removed and designated for reuse or retention by the State must be
    shown on the plans.

3) Sign faces will be of the colors and types shown on the plans.
4) Sign messages will be of the sizes, types and colors shown on the plans.
5) The contractor's working drawings for signs requiring the use of a removable legend will
    conform to the details shown on the plans.
6) Sign blanks will be of the sizes and shapes shown on the plans.
7) This is a plans quantity measurement Item.
