512 - PORTABLE CONCRETE TRAFFIC BARRIER

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1)      Show if barrier is new or used on the plans
2)      Show if barrier is to be retained by the Department
3)      Barrier sections furnished by the Department must be shown on the plans
4)      Barrier dimensions and cross sections must be shown on the plans
5)      Show fabrication tolerances on plans, if other than those shown in Table 1
6)      When Department furnished barrier is required, show stockpile location or existing concrete traffic barrier installation on the plans
7)      Show installation of the barrier sections on the plans
8)      Show stockpile site location for portable barriers no longer required on the project and to be retained by the Department
9)      Show Department-owned connection hardware location if other than the Department warehouse nearest the project.

585 - RIDE QUALITY FOR PAVEMENT SURFACES

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1)      Specify the surface test requirements for surfaces if they are different from default conditions in Item 585.
2)      Specify if Surface Test Type B will be used instead of Surface Test Type A on service road and ramps.
3)      For project pavement limits less than 2500 ft., specify if other than Surface Test Type A will be used.
4)      List any "leave out" sections on the plans.
5)      Specify Pay Adjustment Schedule 1 or 2 if not using Pay Adjustment Schedule 3.

PAYMENT AND MEASUREMENT
Subsidiary to the various bid items in the contract. The pay adjustments described in this Item will be paid or deducted separately.
