8020 - Reflectorized Profile Pavement Markings

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) 1) Show locations and placement of reflectorized profile pavement markings on the plans.
2) Show the type, color (white or yellow), shapes, sizes, widths and thickness (Type I Markings only) of the reflectorized pavement profile pavement markings on the plans.
3) Show traffic control on the plans.  
4) Show the guides to mark the lateral location of pavement markings on the plans.
5) Where double stripes are placed, each stripe will be measured separately.
6) This is a plans quantity measurement item.
7) Use the following Statewide Standard Details Sheets for the installation details of reflectorized profile pavement markings:
                    PM's     Pavement Markings
                    FPM's   Freeway Pavement Markings

8094 – Mobile retroflectivity data collection for PAVEMENT MARKINGS

SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) This special specification is required when special specification 6986 and special provisions 6110--018, 6153--001, 6154-002, or 6473--001 are used.
2) Unless otherwise specified on the plans, the work performed, materials furnished, equipment, labor, tools, and incidentals will not be paid for directly but will be considered subsidiary to bid items of the Contract.  When mobile retroreflectivity data collection for pavement markings is specified on the plans to be a pay item see Payment Description.
