Project Description | Study Area Map | Project Schedule | Study History | Preliminary Schematics | Project Summary Project Description INTRODUCTION The IH 30 Preliminary Engineering and Environmental Assessment project is intended to develop a locally preferred plan of action to address transportation problems along the east-west corridor of IH 30 between Oakland Blvd. and proposed SH 161 (near existing NW 19th Street) in Tarrant and Dallas Counties, Texas as outlined in the study area map. The study process follows federal procedures, which call for collaborative development of transportation projects with local communities and all involved agencies. STUDY TEAM
SCHEDULE The draft design schematic and environmental assessment have been completed for the January 25, 2007 public hearing, as shown in the overall schedule updated in December 2006. The early implementation of the Center Street Bridge schematic and environmental documentation has been completed as shown on the detailed schedule. Construction of the Center Street improvements began in June 2007. RELATED STUDIES A similar study is also being performed for SH 360 from IH 20 to north of IH 30, including the IH 30 interchange. The SH 360 includes the Design Schematic and Environmental Assessment for IH 30 between Ballpark Way and Great Southwest Parkway. This project is also being completed by the Fort Worth District office of TxDOT. The public hearing for SH 360 was held on October 26, 2006.
