The Texas Airport System Plan (TASP) identifies airports and heliports that perform an essential role in the economic and social development of Texas. Out of over 1,600 landing facilities in the state, 292 airports and two heliports meet TASP requirements.
TASP provides guidelines to help planners determine how to maximize the return on investment of public funds and identifies what capital improvements would best serve the state's aviation needs.
