2011 Environmental Coordinators' Conference

TxDOT will host the 2011 Environmental Coordinators Conference Sept. 20-22, at the DoubleTree Hotel, I-35 and U.S. 290, in Austin. TxDOT staff and those from state and federal regulatory agencies, local governments, other public partners and private sector partners are invited. Registration for this event is free.

The conference will include two days of training in general sessions and one full day of training with technical breakout sessions. The focus of this year’s conference will be the outcome of the 82nd Session of the Texas Legislature and its effect on the environmental process and assisting local governments and others to successfully navigate the project development process.

Online registration for the conference is now available. All participants must register for the conference regardless of whether or not hotel accommodations are needed.

The DoubleTree Hotel has reserved a block of rooms for conference attendees. This year’s room block has a tiered rating system:

  • Government rate rooms are at the state-rate of $85/single occupancy and $135/double occupancy.
  • Non-government rate rooms are at $115/single occupancy and $165/double occupancy.
  • After this block of rooms is gone, the room rate increases to the DoubleTree’s prevailing rates ($189 and up).

  • Government employees should use the three letter code TXD when registering by phone. Consultants and other non-governmental contacts should use the three letter code EVC when registering by phone.
