Local Government Project Procedures Training and Qualification

All local entities are required have a trained individual assigned to each project being performed through an advanced funding agreement with TxDOT. The Local Government Project Procedures (LGPP) Qualification Program offers classes that certify individuals to work on these projects. Individuals working directly on LGPP projects should take class, including project managers, consultants and local government employees.

The class is 12 hours and covers several topics:

• Introduction to the Qualification Program
• Non-design or construction information
• Design, traffic operations and bridges
• Bid document preparation
• Bid opening, award and contract execution
• Construction contract administration
