I-635 Managed Lane Information
The goal of the LBJ Express Project is to finance, construct, operate and maintain a corridor of frontage road, general purpose and tolled managed lanes from east of Luna Road to east of US 75 (near Greenville Ave.) approximately 14 miles.
This includes tolled managed lanes within the right of way of I-635 and elevated tolled managed lane direct connectors along I-35E. The project also completes a continuous frontage road system along I-635 between the Dallas North Tollway and I-35E.
On February 26, 2009, the Texas Transportation Commission conditionally awarded the LBJ Express Project to LBJ Development Infrastructure Group (formerly LBJ Infrastructure Group), which will finance, design, construct, operate and maintain the 13-mile corridor for 52 years.
Update
On Sept. 4, 2009, TxDOT officials executed a comprehensive development agreement (CDA) with the LBJ Infrastructure Group to design, construct, finance, operate and maintain the 13-mile LBJ-635 corridor in Dallas County.
On May 7, 2009, TxDOT held a public hearing concerning the disclosure of financial information for the LBJ-635 Comprehensive Development Agreement. The public hearing summary and analysis is now available for review.
