New SH 190 project to be discussed at a public meeting in Mesquite
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE; March 24, 2006 The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct a public meeting on SH 190 (The East Branch) from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 30, at the Mesquite Convention and Rodeo Center, located at 1700 Rodeo Drive in Mesquite. The meeting will be conducted as an open house and will highlight a proposed facility to be built for SH 190 from I-30 to I-20 in East Dallas County. During the event, the public will have the opportunity to view maps and schematics detailing alignment alternatives for The East Branch. The potential project will include constructing a new six-lane tollway for approximately 11 miles. The proposed tollway would link northern SH 190 at I-30 to proposed Loop 9 at I-20. TxDOT personnel will be available to answer questions and explain materials displayed at the meeting. For more information on the project, visit www.theeastbranch.org.
