TxDOT to replace county road bridges in Collin County FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE; April 27, 2006 The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will begin a bridge replacement project on Monday, May 1, in northeast Collin County. The cost of the federally funded project is more than $1.3 million. "With this project, we hope to upgrade five county roads by replacing the bridge structures of those respective roadways," said Kelly Selman, P.E., the area engineer of the Collin County Area Office. Crews will spend 270 workweek days removing the bridges from CR 475 and CR 476 at Sister Grove Creek, CR 631 at Pot Rack Creek and CR 534 and CR 574 at Pilot Grove Creek. JMI Maintenance, Inc., of Greenville, will serve as the contractor of this project. The bridge replacements are scheduled to conclude in November 2006.
