I-20 to Close Briefly for Utilities Work

Closing all I-20 mainlanes and frontage roads |

7 a.m. Sunday, May 7, for approximately 15-20 minutes |

I-20 from Bonnie View Road to SH 342 (Lancaster Road) in Dallas |
| WHY |
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close a portion of I-20, both eastbound and westbound mainlanes
and frontage roads, from Bonnie View Road to SH 342, to allow TXU to install powerlines across the freeway.
TxDOT has placed message boards along I-20 to notify motorists of Sunday’s closure. Because the road will be
closed for a brief time, a detour will not be put in place. Law enforcement will be present to help with traffic.
The work will take place weather permitting.
