I-20 Ramp at Spur 408 to Close for Nightly Work

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE; May 5, 2006

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close the westbound I-20 ramp to northbound Spur 408, nightly from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. beginning Sunday, May 7 through Friday, May 12.

The closures are part of a $7.8 million dollar project refurbishing 12.7 miles of I-20 in southwest Dallas County, from the Tarrant County line east to I-35E.

TxDOT has placed message boards along I-20 notifying motorists of next week’s closures. Law enforcement will be present to help with traffic.

The work will take place weather permitting.
