I-30 Night Closures Will Allow for Beam Work FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE; May 25, 2006 The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close eastbound I-30 at NW 19th Street in Grand Prairie to allow for beam work. The work is part of a $35.5 million project to widen I-30, from the Tarrant County line to NW 7th Street. I-30 at NW 19th Street will close from 8 p.m. Thursday, June 1, to 5:30 a.m. Friday, June 2. Beams will be set on the NW 19th Street underpass during this time. On Friday, June 2, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, I-30 at NW 19th Street will close again to allow TxDOT crews to hang beams for the SH 161 overpass. Traffic will be redirected onto the ramps which will allow eastbound traffic to continue through without a detour to other roadways. Westbound I-30 traffic will not be affect during the closures. TxDOT has placed message boards along eastbound I-30 to notify motorists of the scheduled closures and law enforcement will be present to help with traffic. The work will take place weather permitting.
