Pharr District

The Pharr District services the following counties: Brooks, Cameron, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Kenedy, Starr, Willacy and Zapata. The district designs, builds, operates and maintains the state transportation system across county lines.

In this district, 1) US Highway 77 from the Kleburg/Kenedy county line to north of the Rio Grande River in Brownsville, 2) US highway 281 from the Jim Wells/Brooks County line to Interstate 2, and 3) State Highway 550 from US Highway 77 to Farm to Market Road 3248 in Brownsville will be developed to meet interstate standards as part of the I-69 system development.
