Study Goals

Mobility:
Provide efficient transportation facilities that improve mobility and circulation.

Community and Environment:
Identify and address social, economic, and environmental effects.

Multimodal Travel:
Provide a balance of transportation improvements that support identified multimodal* and intermodal** needs.

Design:
Provide future transportation facilities that comply with current TxDOT and nationally recognized transportation standards.

Cost Effectiveness:
Provide future transportation improvements that balance cost, benefits, and impacts.

*Multimodal – concerning or involving more than one transportation mode or means of transportation (automobile, truck, bus, rail, bicycle, pedestrian, marine, etc.)

**Intermodal – refers to interactions between or including more than one means or mode of transportation (automobile, truck, bus, rail, bicycle, pedestrian, marine, etc.)
