QLF120 Contracted Qualification Test A = Acceptable U = Unacceptable C = Comments Given an operational asphalt unit, the candidate will perform the following tasks: A. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE: The candidate correctly: _____1. Checked fluid levels – cold check._____2. Checked air cleaner system – serviced if required. _____3. Checked tire pressures. _____4. Inspected tires for cuts/tread wear/proper mounting. _____5. Lubricated unit as required. _____6. Inspected hydraulic lines and connections. _____7. Verified asphalt covering flues at least 6 inches. _____8. Verified type of asphalt in tank. _____9. Checked for asphalt leaks. _____10. Checked for charged fire extinguisher. _____11. Verified HAZMAT decals are in proper place. _____12. Checked towing pintle on trailer and truck. (trailer units only) _____13. Checked propane valves off and for leaks. (if equipped) _____14. Checked diesel/kerosene valves off and for leaks. (if equipped) _____15. Checked spray bar and hand wand tips/valves for correct angle/size. _____16. Checked thermometer well for oil and thermometer serviceable. _____17. Checked oil level in clutch. (trailer units only) _____18. Checked flues for obstructions. _____19. Checked lights and rotating beacon. _____20. Started engine – verified fluid levels. _____21. Verified hydraulic fluid levels again and temperature. (distributors only) _____22. Verified air pressure build-up.
