A. Preventive Maintenance: The candidate correctly:

D. Vee Ditching: The candidate correctly:

_____6. Lowered toe and raised heel of blade for marking pass.

_____8. Put wheels on toe side of blade in marked ditch line for a second pass.
_____9. Positioned toe of blade in marked ditch line and lowered the toe to cut deeper; and raised the heel to  maintain slope from ditch to road.

_____12. Made clean up passes moving material up onto roadway slope.

E. Cutting Back Slope: The candidate correctly:

_____2. Shifted the blade to the right of the machine.

_____5. Disengaged the saddle locking pin. (If equipped)
_____6. Retracted left lift cylinder – shifted turn table to right – extended right lift cylinder.

_____8. Lifted the blade 4 – 5 inches off ground.
_____9. Rotated the blade counterclockwise – toe forward.
_____10.Retracted the right lift cylinder – extended left lift cylinder – rotated turn table – adjusted turn table side shift and pitch – side shifted blade to desired position.
_____11. Side shifted the turn table and blade toward the back slope of ditch.
_____12. Positioned the heel of the blade in center of right forward tire of tandems in ditch – pitched the blade almost all the way forward.
_____13. Drove with wheels of right tandem in ditch.
_____14. Deposited material in bottom of vee ditch.
_____15. Made a clean out pass and deposited material up on roadway slope.
_____16. Made a clean up pass and deposited material further up roadway slope.
_____17. Wore seat belt.
