| Texas Grain Transportation Study - Report to the
Legislature - January 2001
INTRODUCTION
This study reports on various aspects of grain
transportation in Texas. Attention is given to Texas grain production
and consumption trends, and to the geographic location of grain production
and consumption. Data on interstate and intrastate grain flow patterns
and mode use are identified, as are perceptions of Texas grain handlers
regarding the quality of service offered by railroads and motor carriers.
