Executive Director - Cameron County Bridge System

Josue Garcia was born into a farming family in the township of Los Indios, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from UT Pan American University.

Garcia has served in the public and private sectors. In January 2017, he was named the bridge executive director for the Cameron County Bridge System. Prior, he served five years as the bridge executive director at the Donna/Rio Bravo International Bridge.

In 2000, Garcia opened his own company with associates. The experience he acquired in a multi-cultural environment helped the business succeed and grow to over 600 employees. Garcia served as the first vice president of operations and was later named general manager. A Japanese firm purchased the five-year-old company and retained Garcia to oversee it.

In 1991, Garcia was named the International Person of the Year for his contribution to the procurement profession by the National Association of Purchasing Managers.
