Cynthia Garza-Reyes began her professional career in 2004 interning and eventually working for Congressman Rubén Hinojosa in his Washington, D.C., office. She developed and maintained an information management strategy met with constituents and interested parties and attended committee hearings and markups.

In 2008, Garza-Reyes joined Congressman Hinojosa's campaign team as the deputy field and public relations director/campaign manager. She successfully ran four congressional campaigns while working in the Edinburg district office.

Currently, Garza-Reyes serves as the director of business development and infrastructure for the Pharr Economic Development Corporation (EDC). She oversees all federal and state infrastructure projects surrounding the Pharr international bridge along with additional program initiatives private/public partnerships within the city or the EDC.

Garza-Reyes is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
