SH 121/Southwest Parkway and Chisholm Trail

TxDOT, the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and regional leaders in Tarrant and Johnson counties continue to work in partnership to find funding solutions to deliver the entire SH 121 corridor.

Initial improvements are beginning along the corridor. NTTA is overseeing a project near downtown Fort Worth at the Union Pacific Railroad to accommodate the future roadway. TxDOT is overseeing construction for mobility improvements at I-20 in Fort Worth and U.S. 67 in Cleburne. These two projects were selected by NCTCOG with $144 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds with work beginning in March 2010.
