Traffic Management

TransVista, the El Paso Traffic Management System, is a network of road sensors, high-tech signs, computers, cameras, and people teamed up to manage El Paso's freeway traffic.

Fort Worth and Dallas District offices of the Texas Department of Transportation have joined forces with local governments to launch a comprehensive traffic management program using Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Houston TranStar shows Houston area transportation information for Real-Time Freeway Conditions, Houston HOV lane Information, Freeway Motorist Assistance Program, Houston Weather Forecast, and Accident / Construction Reports.

TxDOT's "smart highway" project, called TransGuide, is online in San Antonio.

San Antonio ROW Map Application - The Map Viewer is designed to serve images for all of the "Finalized" ROW maps the San Antonio District has in their collection, comprising 12 Counties.
Load Restricted Bridge Application displays publicly owned, load restricted and closed bridges.
Highway Conditions - TxDOT statewide highway condition report maintained by TxDOT Districts.

Recycled Materials mapping application - used to locate facilities that generate or process recycled materials

Global Position System

TxDOT Global Positioning System Data - This base station data is available for the purpose of post-processing for differential corrections.

Highway Designation

Texas Highway Designation Files - Contain information about TxDOT and the highway system, counties in the state and their prospective district and county numbers.
