Optional activities

We are currently working to put together a few fun, optional activities while you and your family are in Houston. Your feedback during the registration process is greatly appreciated. Below is a sample of what you can expect.

• Kayak tour of Downtown Houston
  Enjoy the scenery of Houston and its unique skyline from a different perspective while kayaking along Buffalo Bayou on a 3.5 hour guided tour.

• Space Center Houston tour
  During this tour, your group will gain access to parts of NASA that are not open to the general public. Your tour guide will take you behind the scenes to show you the inner-workings of the world famous NASA and Houston’s critical role in the national space program.

Buses depart from the Marriott Marquis no later than 6 a.m. for transport to the golf course.

Tour 18 Houston is one of Houston’s top golf courses. Imagine yourself playing on carefully simulated holes from some of the greatest golf courses in America. This collaboration of incredible replicas offers players a memorable experience of walking in the footsteps of some of the great legends before them.

Roundtrip transportation will be provided and a boxed continental breakfast will be served upon departure.

Snacks and beverages will be provided during play, and the round of golf concludes with lunch and prizes.

If you are driving to the venue on your own, please arrive no later than 8:30 a.m.

• Registration: The SASHTO 2018 golf tournament is open to delegates and registered guests, and the field is limited to 144 registered players. There will be no on-site registration.
• Entry Fee: The entry fee is $200 per player or $800 per team and includes transportation to and from the golf course, green fees, range balls, cart rental, boxed continental breakfast, post-tournament lunch, awards ceremony and tournament prizes.
• Dress Code: Proper golf attire required. Collared shirt is required. No jeans, tank tops or cut-offs. Soft spikes only.
• Liability Waiver: Tournament participants are hereby notified that SASHTO, the tournament committee and sponsors shall be held free from any liability which may arise from participation in this tournament. Each participant is responsible for his/her own negligent acts and agrees to abide by all course rules.
