I-635 LBJ East:
US 75 to I-30
The LBJ East project will rebuild and widen I-635 LBJ East for 11 miles through northeast Dallas County. The $1.74 billion project will expand main lane capacity from four lanes to five, adds continuous frontage roads along the entire corridor to improve reliability and incident management and rebuilds the existing, grandfathered single managed lane in each direction. Construction will begin in early 2020 and is estimated to be completed in late 2024.

Gateway
The $666 million Southern Gateway project will rebuild and widen Interstate 35E (I-35E) south of downtown Dallas. The 11-mile project will expand I-35E from four lanes to five lanes in each direction, and will also build two reversible, non-toll express lanes in the center of the corridor.
