From Smyran via Harleton to junction US 80 at Hallsville. (Harrison County) Extended from Harleton to Hallsville (13.4 miles).
From SH 26 southeastward via Ore City Smyrna and Harleton to US 80 at Hallsville. (Harrison, Marion and Upshur Counties) Extended from Smyrna to Ore city, 7.8 miles, and SS 162 canceled and combined.
From SH 26 at Ore City southeastward via Smyrna to a point on SH 154 northeast of Harleton; and from another point on SH 154 at Harleton southward via Hallsville to FM 968, a distance of approximately 30.5 miles. (Upshur, Marion, and Harrison Counties) Extended approximately 4.0 miles from Hallsville southward to FM 968.
From US 259 at Ore City, southeastward via Smyrna to SH 154 at Harleton; and from another point on SH 154 at Harleton, southward to FM 449; and from another point on FM 449, southward via Hallsville to FM 968, a total distance of approx. 30.2 miles. (Upshur, Marion, and Harrison Counties) Section of approximately 0.1 miles from FM 2208 to FM 449 transferred to FM 449.

North of the city of Hallsville, a segment of FM 450 was removed from the state highway system from a location south of Ferguson Road, southward to a location north of FM 449, a distance of approximately 2.1 miles. Control, jurisdiction, and maintenance were transferred to Harrison Countya. Additionally, a segment of FM 450 was designated on a new location, from a location south of Ferguson Road, southward to a location north of FM 449 (the same limits as the removed segment), a distance of approximately 2.0 milesb.
