INTERSTATE HIGHWAY NO. 69

Minute Order 113186, dated 7/26/2012; DesLtr 3-2012, dated 10/15/2012

From approximately 0.2 mile north of the Liberty County line to IH 610 North in Houston, a distance of 35 miles. (Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, and Nueces Counties) The northern segment of the Interstate, from north of the Liberty County line to IH 610 West, was added to the state system.

From east of SS 529 in Rosenberg northeastward concurrent with US 59 approximately 28.4 miles to IH 610 (West Loop), north of Bellaire; then from IH 610 (North Loop) northeastward concurrent with US 59 approximately 35 miles to approximately 0.2 mile north of the Liberty/Montgomery County line; a total distance of approximately 63.4 miles. (Nueces, Fort Bend, Harris, Montgomery and Liberty Counties) Route has been designated in three noncontiguous segments; the current designation extended the route from Rosenberg to Houston.

From the existing I-69 termini at I-610 North and I-610 West in the city of Houston concurrent with US 59, a distance of approximately 11.9 miles. This action will complete the designation of I-69 in Houston and points north to the Montgomery/Liberty county line and south to Rosenberg for a continuous 75 miles. The Houston-Galveston Area Council, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, and the Federal Highway Administration have approved the designation of this segment.
