From end of SH 100 in Port Isabel, southward, eastward, and northward approximately 26.6 miles to the National Seashore Park boundary at the Willacy County Line.  (Cameron County)  New designation.

From end of SH 100 at west end of Laguna Madre Causway at Port Isabel, eastward and northward approximately 26.0 miles to Willacy County Line. (Cameron County)  New description; southern terminus relocated; a decrease of approx. 0.6 mile.


[Queen Isabella Memorial Bridge--The structure connecting SH 100 and Park Road 100 between the eastern municipal boundary of Port Isabel and the western boundary of Padre Island, as a memorial to:  (1) the deceased Julio Mireles, Robert Harris, Gaspar Saenz Hinojosa, Robin Leavell, Hector Martinez, Jr., Stevan Francisco Rivas, Barry Welch, and Chealsa Welch; (2) the survivors Bridgette Goza, Rene Mata, and Gustavo Morales, Jr.; and the heroes of that tragic event.  In this section, a reference to a Port Isabel municipal boundary means that boundary as it exists on January 1, 2003.  Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 798, § 1, eff.
