From Texas/Arkansas S/L near Lewis Ferry via New Boston to a point on U. S. 67 at Corley; thence follow US 67 to Maud and from Maud via Douglassville to a point on US 59 at Linden.  Section from Maud to Linden reassigned as SH 8 (formerly US 59).
