From Caddo Lake Park via Karnack and Marshall to Henderson. General redescription of Highway System.
From Henderson via Marshall and Karnack to Caddo Lake Park; and from a point one SH 49 northward to Atlanta. Extended from SH 49 to Atlanta (formerly SH 300).
From US 79 at Henderson via Marshall to FM 134 at Karnack, and from SH 49, 12.6 miles east of Jefferson, northward to US 59 at Atlanta. (Marion & Cass Counties) New description; 0.8-mile section transferred to FM 134 causing change in limits.
From US 79 at Henderson via Marshall to US 59 at Atlanta. (Rusk, Panola, Harrison, Marion, and Cass Counties) New description; FM 1915 redesignated SH 43. Section of SH 43 from southern terminus of FM 1915 northeastward to FM 134 at Karnack redesignated SS 449, effective 01/01/1968.

Section of SH 43 from southern terminus of FM 1915 northeastward to FM 134 at Karnack redesignated SS 449, effective 01/01/1968. A segment of SH 43 was removed from the state highway system from SH 77, north to US 59, a distance of approximately 2.3 miles, and transferred control, jurisdiction and maintenance to the city of Atlanta.
