From Alpine to Ft. Davis, then follow SH 166 beyond the McDonald Observatory, then continue on to a point on US 80 near Kent. Cancelled section from a point on SH 227 via Terlingua to Alpine. (Section from SH 227 to Terlingua assigned SS 121.)
