From the junction of IH 45 and SH 6 south of Texas City, northward via Baytown, Dayton and then concurrent with US 90 to Liberty; and then from Liberty to US 59 in Livingston, a total distance of approx. 113.0 miles.  (Galveston, Harris, Chambers, Liberty, and Polk Counties)  New description; in Livingston, section of approx. 0.8 mile transferred from FM 1316 and section of 0.6 mile extended northward to present end of SH 146 to SL 90.

(Polk, Liberty, Chambers, Harris and Galveston Counties) Description amended to reflect designation changes to intersecting routes.
