From US 287 just east of Wichita/Clay County Line via Wichita Falls and Burkburnett to US 70 at or near Harrold.  Extended southward and eastward over old location US's 277 and 281, SL 165, and US 287. Effective on date traffic is routed over new locations US's 27, 281, and 287.

From US 287 just east of Wichita/Clay County Line via Wichita Falls and Burkburnett to US 287 at or near Harrold.  New description; western terminus redescribed as US 287 due to relocation of US 70.

In Wichita Falls, from BU 287-J, northwestward and westward via Burkburnett and Haynesville to US 287 near Harrold, a distance of approximately 45.9 miles.  (Wichita and Wilbarger Counties)  New description; section of approximately 3.6 miles from BU 287-J in Wichita Falls, southeastward to US 287 and US 82 in Clay County, transferred to BU 287-J.

From US 287 near Harold, eastward, northeastward, and southeastward via Burkburnett and Haynesville to BU 287-J in Wichita Falls, a distance of approximately 43.0 miles.  (Wichita and Wilbarger Counties)  (New Description)  At District's request, segment of SH 240 redesignated on a new location.
