From Odessa to junction with SH 115 approximately 1.0 mile west of Kermit.  (Winkler County)  Extended to a connection with SH115 (originally assigned SH 276).

From US 285 to Mentone, and from SH 115 approximately 1.0 mile west of Kermit to Odessa.  SH 276 cancelled and combined.

From US 285 to Mentone, and from SH 115, 1 mile west of Kermit, to IH 20 west of Odessa.  Extended southward over SL 338 to IH 20; section from SL 338 to US redesignated as SS 450.

From US 285, southwest of Mentone, northeastward and southward via Kermit to IH 20 at Odessa, a distance of approximately 86.0 miles.  (Reeves, Loving, Winkler, and Ector Counties)  New description; section of approximately 30.1 miles, from FM 1933 in Mentone, northeastward to SH 115 at Kermit transferred from FM 1211.
