From the Texas/New Mexico State Line at Texline via Dalhart, Dumas, Amarillo, Canyon, Tulia, Plainview, Lubbock, Tahoka, Lamesa, Big Spring, Sterling City, San Angelo, Eden, Brady, Mason, Fredericksburg, Boerne, San Antonio, Stockdale, Cuero, and Victoria to Port Lavaca. (Dallam, Hartley, Moore, Potter, Randall, Swisher, Hale, Lubbock, Lynn, Dawson, Martin, Howard, Glasscock, Sterling, Tom Green, Concho, McCulloch, Mason, Gillespie, Kendall, Bexar, Wilson, Gonzales, DeWitt, Victoria, and Calhoun Counties).  A segment of US 87 was designated concurrently with IH 20 from the existing intersection of US 87 and IH 20 north of Big Spring westward to the intersection of US 87’s new location west of Big Spring, a distance of approximately 4.3 miles.
