From Red River north of Bonham via Bonham, Leonard, Blue Ridge, Farmersville, and Wylie to Garland. General redescription of Highway System.
From Red River north of Bonham via Bonham, Leonard, Blue Ridge, Farmersville, and Wylie to Garland; thence over US 67 to an intersection with former SH 114; thence westward to a point on the Dallas SL 12 at or near the north end of White Rock Lake. Extended from Garland over US 67 to an intersection with former SH 114, westward to a point on the Dallas SL 12 at or near the north end of White Rock Lake.
From Texas/Oklahoma State Line north of Bonham via Bonham, Leonard, Blue Ridge, Farmersville, Wylie, and Garland to the T & NO Railroad Underpass in Dallas; thence along E Grand Ave and Samuell Blvd. Route extended southwestward to US 80. Section from old route of US 67 to SL 12 renumbered SS 244.
From the Texas/Oklahoma State Line north of Bonham southward via Bonham, Bailey, Leonard, Farmersville, Wylie and Garland to IH 30 in Dallas. (Fannin, Collin, and Dallas Counties) Clarified ending at IH 30.

No change to description. (Collin County) At district’s request, removed a segment of surplus right of way along the former location of SH 78 from the state highway system. The surplus property is no longer needed for highway or public transportation purposes and is not suitable for retention in order to restore, preserve, or improve the scenic beauty at this location.
