From SH 121 eastward and southward to Dallas C/L, a distance of approx. 13.847 miles. (Denton and Collin Counties)  New Description.

At SH 121, from approximately 1.75 miles west of FM 2281, eastward via Hebron to the west city limits of Plano near Addison Rd; and then from the east Plano/west Murphy city limits, eastward via Murphy to SH 78 in the City of Wylie, a distance of approximately 13.1 miles.  (Collin County)  (New Description)  At District's request, removed segment of FM 544 (Urban Road), from SH 78 along Ballard St, Stone Rd and W. A. Allen Blvd, to the Collin/Dallas county line, from the state highway system and returned to city for jurisdiction, and maintenance.
