William Meadows is a member of the Texas Transportation Commission, which oversees statewide activities of the Texas Department of Transportation. Meadows was appointed commissioner by Gov. Rick Perry on April 30, 2008.

Meadows are chairman of Hub International Rigg. He also served as vice chairman of the North Texas Tollway Authority. He is a past appointee to the Texas Water Development Board and formerly served as a city council member and mayor pro-tempore for the City of Fort Worth.

Meadows currently serve as a trustee of the Hatton Sumners Foundation and the Southwestern Exposition & Livestock Show. He is a past board member of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Southwestern University, Fort Worth Country Day School and Fort Worth Museum of Science & History.

Meadows received a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University and attended the Harlaxton Institute in Grantham, England.
