Mike Krusee has represented District 52 of the Texas House of Representatives since 1992.
He serves as Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, and is a member of the Executive Council of the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. His passionate interest in quality urban planning and design led him to a seat as a board member of the Congress for New Urbanism in 2005.
As Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, he has ushered in landmark improvements for both the Central Texas region and the State of Texas. His authorship of House Bill 3588, is now widely held as one of the most comprehensive and visionary in Texas history; the legislation is now a national model for state transportation funding.
