William Meadows was appointed commissioner by Governor Rick Perry on April 30, 2008.

Meadows is chairman of Hub International Rigg. He served as vice chairman of the North Texas Tollway Authority. He is also a past appointee to the Texas Water Development Board and formerly served as a city council member and mayor pro-tempore for the City of Fort Worth.

Meadows was past vice chairman of the city’s Parks and Community Services Advisory Board and past board member of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce and Southwestern University.

Meadows received a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University and attended the Harlaxton Institute in Grantham, England. His term will expire February 1, 2013.
