I-69 Draft Environmental Impact Statement

I-69 Draft Environmental Impact Statement

I-69 is a proposed multi-use transportation corridor from Northeast Texas to Mexico that could ultimately include roads, rail and utilities. This project is part of the Trans-Texas Corridor system.

Existing Highways

Based on an initial review of 28,000 public comments, TxDOT will recommend using existing and planned transportation facilities along a narrower study area that includes US 59, US 77, US 84, US 281 and SH 44.

The new location corridors presented during the public hearings earlier this year will no longer be considered in the environmental study for I-69.
