TxDOT offers several programs that provide funding to local communities, other government agencies and select groups to aid in the development of transportation projects and services.

Description: Awarded to organizations with grassroots environmental programs. Funding comes from money set aside by TxDOT for landscaping needs.

Description: Businesses are mentored by TxDOT and taught how to do business with the department.

Description: An FHWA program that helps develop job training and apprenticeship programs using Federal assisted funds. Aimed at increasing representation of disadvantaged individuals, minorities and women in the heavy highway construction industry.

Description: Infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects that improve the safety of children in grades K-8 that walk or bike to school.
