CDA Public Hearing Scheduled

All interested citizens are invited to attend a North Tarrant Express public hearing Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. at the North Fort Worth Baptist Church located at 5801 North I-35W in Fort Worth. The public hearing will concern the disclosure of financial information for the comprehensive development agreement (CDA) conditionally awarded by the Texas Transportation Commission on Jan. 29 to NTE Mobility Partners.

In an effort to be transparent, financial information will be presented regarding: project financing, duration of tolling, method for setting toll rates, competing facilities, termination for convenience, toll rates, methodology for increasing toll rates, and concession payments.

The project will rebuild the existing Interstate 820 and SH 121/183 highways, add two toll-managed "express" lanes in each direction, improve frontage roads and add auxiliary lanes along the corridor. Direct connection, managed lane ramps from north and southbound I-35W to I-820 will also provide mobility improvements to that interchange's bottleneck.

Copies of the CDA will be available online and at the public hearing for viewing. Written comments may be submitted either in person at the public hearing, through e-mail on TxDOT's Web site at www.txdot.gov KEYWORD: North Tarrant Express, or by mail to the TxDOT Fort Worth District Office, P.O. Box 6868, Fort Worth, TX 76115. All written or e-mailed comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. April 17, 2009.
