In the city of Cedar Park, BU 183-Q was designated on the state highway system along Old US Highway 183 (a city street) from Cedar Park Drive southeastward to 0.2 miles south of Buttercup Creek Boulevard, a distance of approximately 0.8 mile^a. This designation was intended to be temporary. Upon completion of the construction of the new US 183 along this same location, BU 183-Q was redesignated as US 183 on the state highway system from Cedar Park Drive southeastward to 0.2 miles south of Buttercup Creek Boulevard, a distance of approximately 0.8 mile^b.
