The remaining segment of FM 543 from County Road 206 north to FM 455 is redesignated as State Spur 195, a distance of 7.6 miles.

In and near the cities of McKinney and Weston, the entire designation of FM 543 was redesignated as SS 195 from US 75 southward to SH 5, a distance of approximately 1.0 mile^a. Additionally, the entire designation of SS 195 was redesignated on the state highway system as FM 543 from FM 455 southward to County Road 206, a distance of approximately 7.6 miles^b.
