From US 82 in Honey Grove southward and southwestward via Wolfe City, Greenville, Terrell, Kaufman, Ennis and to IH 35E 1.0 mile north of Italy, a total approximate distance of 130.0 miles. (Fannin, Hunt, Kaufman, and Ellis Counties) New description; section of approx. 1.0 mile of FM 1134 from US 77 in Italy north to IH 35E transferred to SH 34.
From US 82 in Honey Grove, southward and southwestward via Wolfe City, Greenville, Terrell, Kaufman, Ennis, to IH 35E, 1.0 mile north of Italy, a it total distance of approximately 130.0 miles. (Fannin, Hunt, Kaufman, and Ellis Counties) New description; at District's request, SH 34 rerouted in Ennis, from SH 34/131 45-G/ BU 287-S, southeastward concurrent with BI 45-G/ BU 287-S, distance of approx. 0.7 mile, to FM 1181 and Creechville Rd, then southwestward along Creechville Rd, a distance of approx. 0.17 mile to the current location of SH 34 and FM 1183, eliminating the concurrent routings of SH 34 with FM 1183, from BU 287-S, southeastward a distance of approx. 0.7 mile and with BU 287-S, from BI 45-G and BU 287-S, southwestward to FM 1183.

to FM 1566, then southwestward concurrent with FM 1566 for approximately 0.8
mile, then southward to BU 69-D in Greenville, then southward concurrent with BU
69-D approximately 1.2 miles, then southward to FM 1564, then southward
concurrent with FM 1564 approximately 0.6 mile, then southward to SH 276 in
Quinlan, then southward concurrent with SH 276 approximately 0.5 mile, then
southwestward via Terrell to SH 243 in Kaufman, then westward concurrent with SH
243 approximately 0.5 mile, then southward to FM 148 in Scurry, then concurrent
with FM 148 approximately 0.2 mile, then southwestward to FM 2451 in Rosser,

The route was realigned along a new
location in Terrell; the old alignment was redesignated as BS 34-A. The
description was also revised to include concurrent designations.
In the city of Kaufman, under Minute Order 116012, a segment of SH 34 was designated on a new location on the state highway system from SH 243 southward to US 175, then southward and westward to the intersection of S. Washington Street, a distance of approximately 3.9 milesa. Additionally, a segment of existing SH 34 was redesignated as BS 34-G on the state highway system from SH 243 southward to US 175, a distance of approximately 1.0 mileb. Minute Order 116012 also clarified that previous Minute Order 115862, which only included language related to Right of Way, should be construed as prescribing the following action: A segment of existing SH 34 was removed from the state highway system from US 175 south and southwestward to the new location of SH 34, a distance of approximately 1.7 milesc.
