From Corpus Christi, via Gregory, Aransas Pass, Rockport, Port Lavaca, Palacios, Bay City Angleton, and Alvin to Houston. Extended along US 181 from Gregory to IH 37 in Corpus Christi.
From Corpus Christi, via Gregory, Aransas Pass, Rockport, Port Lavaca, Palacios, Bay City, Angleton, and Alvin to Houston. The old location in Angleton of approx. 4.9 miles from its junction with SH 35 southwestward and westward to SH 288 transferred to SL 558.

Temporary concurrent routing with FM 3036, from FM 1781 in Fulton, eastward approx. 2.0 miles to BS 35-L, will terminate upon completion of final segment of relocated SH 35, to north of FM 1781 @ Copano Bay bridge.
