Lufkin Loop - From US 59 north of Lufkin, southward over the old route of US 59 through Lufkin to US 59 south of Lufkin. (Angelina County)  New designation; route signed as US 59 business route.

In the city of Lufkin, the entire route SL 266 was removed from the state highway system from BU 59-G, westward along Humason Avenue approximately 0.1 mile, then southward along North First Street and South First Street to BU 59-G, a total distance of approximately 2.1 miles. Control, jurisdiction, and maintenance were transferred to the city of Lufkin. (Angelina County) Removal of Designation (Entire Route)
