In and around the city of Amarillo, SL 335 was designated on a new location from 0.5 mile south of SW 9th Street southwestward to I-40, a distance of approximately 1.4 miles^a. SL 335 was also designated along Helium Road from I-40 southward to FM 2186, a distance of approximately 5.2 miles^b. Additionally, a segment of FM 2186 was redesignated as SL 335 from Helium Road eastward to the intersection of existing SL 335, a distance of approximately 1.0 mile^c. A segment of existing SL 335 was also redesignated as FM 2590 (along Soncy Road) from approximately 0.5 mile south of SW 9th Street southward to the intersection of FM 2186, a distance of approximately 5.6 miles^d.
