Lewisville Spur - In Lewisville, from IH 35E on Spine Rd, westward approximately 2.5 miles to Denton Tap Rd.  (Denton County)  New Designation.

From SH 121 in Coppell, approx. 1.5 miles southwest of Denton Tap Rd, eastward and northeastward to SH 121/FM 2281 in Lewisville, a distance of approx. 10.4 2 miles. (Denton and Dallas Counties)  At District's request, SS extended to provide a continuous route from Coppell to Lewisville.

Cancelled.  (Denton and Dallas Counties)  At District's request, SS 553 redesignated as segment of SH 121.
